and pass on your experiences and learn from todays' Students.

Student registration

Return to Kings and share with other Kings Engineers your experiences of your first few years after Kings, or what you expect from today's young Engineers – and what you look for when recruiting, selecting and allocating members of your team- and you will also learn many things from the students.

KCLEA is very much aware that the transition into work and becoming established in industry is a very complex and confusing time – so we welcome those who are starting out – say graduate in the past 7 years or so to network with and support each other and those who are more established in their careers (or may be thinking about a second career).
We would also welcome few members with more than 30 years' experience to give an overview of how engineering and the world has changed – giving some inspiration to the student and recent alums aspirations.

KCLEA exists to promote connections between the graduates of any form of Engineering at Kings College London through events both in person and virtually – and to support the staff and students through meetings, mentoring and research collaboration.

Speed networking

KCLEA members in pairs will meet with a group of about half a dozen students – and network with them for about 7 minutes before moving onto another Group – as so on for about 6 groups – which may not be all the students present!
The aim is for the students to find out what the real world of engineering is like and the even wider range of careers that Engineering graduates can follow and that the Alums can meet up again and share their successs and achivements in their careers. We are hoping that many penultimate year students will attend so that they can start thinking about the opportunities that they can follow up in their final year to find a good transition from academic study to employment.
There are a number of "cunning plans" which encourage the best use of limited time including KCLEA members networking over a drink on Arrival.

The Quad labs

We meet in the Quad labs of the Department of Engineering - with the adjacent Maker space and the social space entrance from Kings building.

KCLEA – for all Engineering alumni – is run by a dedicated group of Alums - if you can give some of your time to help KCLEA hold events, tell alums about your achievements, and challenges, help with student activities , link with Kings – or keep in touch with your fellow Alums around the world

Please get in touch. There is a wide variety of role from "full on "executives to being a volunteer at an event like this -.

We are particularly looking for a well-established senior KCLEA member to take over from Peter Weitzel as your President … contact him.
