FOAK November 2026

From Adaptive Prosthetics to Assistive Robotics

KCLEA Find Out About King's (FOAK)
Friday 20 November 2026, 6:00pm to 8:30pm · Quad Labs, King's College London, Strand Campus

Join in and network at our next Find Out About King's (FOAK) event, exploring how engineering, robotics and intelligent technologies are transforming prosthetics and assistive technology.

Speakers

We will hear Dr Nicola Bailey, Senior Lecturer in Engineering at King's College London, whose research spans robotics, assistive technology, precision mechanisms and the development of prosthetic devices for people with limb difference.

We will be joined by Dr Uğur Tanrıverdi, Founder and CEO of Unhindr, a London-based deep-tech company developing adaptive wearable robotics. Uğur will share the journey behind Roliner, Unhindr's adaptive prosthetic liner designed to respond dynamically to changes in the body throughout the day, and discuss the challenges of translating research in machine learning, soft robotics and advanced materials into a real-world medical technology.

After the talks, stay for refreshments, meet the speakers and network with members of the King's engineering and alumni community.

Who can come

All King's alumni, students and guests are welcome. Come and find out how King's research is put to practical use for the benefit of all.
